Karmravor Church:

Karmravor Church: This church is located in the north of Yerevan in Kanaker district. The church has been constructed in the 18th century, during the reign of Catholicos Nicholas II. There are many beautiful frescoes inside the church. The church is the chapel of the Kanaker-Zeytun diocese. Karmravor is a very special church for Armenians because the picture of the Virgin Mary holding baby Jesus in her arms is depicted on the wall of the Karmravor church. Armenians believe that this picture has power and miracles can be connected with it.

 

Goshavank Monastery:


Goshavank (Armenian: Գոշավանք, literally "Monastery of Gosh"), is an Armenian monastery of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the region of Kotayk, near the village of Tsovagyugh, Armenia. It is situated on the right bank of the Hrazdan River, at the foot of a basalt cliff, on the outskirts of the village of Parakar, from the provincial center of Hrazdan. The monastery was founded by Prince Grigor Magistros Pahlavuni in 1215 and named after the village of Gosh, in whose territory it was located. The Goshavank Monastery has been declared as a protected historical and cultural monument by the government of Armenia.

 

Spitakashen Village:

 Spitakashen is a village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia, located on a small plateau at an elevation of 1,800 meters above sea level. The village was founded in 1824 and has an old church of S. Hakob. In the cemetery lies the grave of the famous Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan. The name Spitakashen is derived from the nearby Spitak village, which is now in ruins.

 Jermuk is a city in the Vayots Dzor Province of Armenia. It is located about 16 kilometers north of the capital Yerevan and 6 kilometers east of the provincial center Yeghegnadzor. The city is home to Jermuk Waterfall, a tourist attraction and a health resort. Jermuk is an important mineral water spa. It was discovered in 1887 by a group of Russian scientists and acquired its fame soon after. The water is rich in calcium and magnesium bicarbonate, with a number of minerals, making it suitable for drinking. It also contains a high level of lithium salts. It is believed that the water of Jermuk has anti-aging properties.

 

Garni Temple:


The temple was built on the left bank of the Azat River, which cascades through a rocky valley. The temple is built out of a solid piece of white tuff, a soft volcanic stone. It is quite small, only 10.5 x 6.5 meters at the base. The eastern façade is quite well preserved and has an Ionic-style colonnaded portico. The interior of the temple was once decorated with carvings and Greek inscriptions, but these have all been stolen or defaced. The temple was built on the site of a natural hot spring. The temple is a popular tourist attraction, and many people come to see the temple and the surrounding area.
